Powder Puff Turkey Bowl

For this Thanksgiving, I convinced these nice ladies

To become flag pulling, mud wearing, quarterback-sacking football players

It was AWESOME!!!

There's a whole lot of love between these two sisters...

 

And I mean a WHOLE lot!

Did I mention...

It's been a while since I posted about the fam so I can't remember...

Did I mention that we spent a magical weekend in Cape Cod with my family and that I didn't take near enough pictures?

or that we went with friends to an awesome outdoor concert in Lowell, MA...

that was really a Banjo and Fiddle competition?

And did I mention that after the competition we hopped on a classic New Orleans trolley with our dear friends the Christophers?

How cute are these kids?

And did I mention that after the trolley ride we toured the textile mills?
They were SO LOUD

Did I mention that we went to a Butterfly museum where 1,000's of butterflies flew
all around us?

Someone was a bit terrified of the whole thing

And did I mention that we brought home two tiny but very hungry caterpillars... that turned into cocoons and a few days later abracadabra out came butterflies?

The hesitant onlookers as "pinky" and "bluey" were set free.  We let them out in our neighbor Elenore's yard.  She has more flowers than anyone else on our street ...although you can't see them in this picture.

Pinky did great and flew off

Bluey had fallen before he came out of his cocoon and didn't do so well.  (Big thank you to Elenore for promising to watch out for "bluey" since he didn't fly away on his own.

Did I mention that we went Apple Picking and had a great time?

I love Lucy in this picture because even though her hat strap is totally in her face and was probably driving her crazy, she is all smiles.  Totally Lucy's personality!

And did I mention that Marian had a Princess party that was totally Pinkalicious?

The Royal party!

Spider man also made an appearance!

Totally love that I have baby spit up all over my shirt and I was completely clueless...Marian's smile is pretty darn cute too!

Did I mention that we also went pumpkin picking?

 It was a beautiful day!

Oh yeah- did I ever mention that we went to a cranberry bog festival with these fine newlyweds?

They made for excellent transportation

Rich was nice enough to share his fries.  Carnies sure know how to make good fries!

Did I mention that we enjoyed the beautiful fall days any chance we got?

Or did I ever mention that my baby is the cutest thing there ever was?

Quite the crew we've got now

Did I mention the time we wandered through a maze in the middle of downtown Boston with friends? And that it rekindled my love of this town?

Seriously- Boston in the fall- you can't beat it.

...not with these views at every turn

And did I mention that we got a FREE merry-go-round ride to boot?

One of the kids loved it

One of the kids did not

I won't name names

And one of the kids was just plain angelic and slept the entire time

Oh- did I mention that we made awesome Jack-o-lanterns this year?

You should have trick-or-treated at our house...we had lots of candy and not a lot of trick-or-treaters

But we did have the cutest trick-or-treaters in town

 Marian is now well versed in the names of various candy bars, suckers, and other cavity inducers

Or did I ever mention that as wild and crazy as my kids sometimes are, they do just enough adorable things  (like Marian reading a giant stack of books to Lucy) to make it all worth it.
